proper english

one mic DJ has a good point especially if this forum is designed to attract potential artists and DJs worthy of promotion. Using proper english in writing and how you speak is key in gaining respect from those you wish to associate with. In my experience using proper english has been the only thing that has gotten me jobs and respect from my elders. If you go to your boss and say "yo whats up G, you keepin it real?", the chances you will have thier respect much longer than that sentence is not too likely. It may not matter to some people but speaking and writing correctly is a sign of class and wisdom. If you seek those who you can learn from, collaborate with artistically, and produce a culture with, your best bet is to set yourself in a higher communication class - this is coming from a person who was raised by a literary scholar, trained both corporately and at home in methods of tact and manners, and also has been homeless and lived on the "street" and in the "ghetto" several times in his life. plus; speaking ebonics is just another way to "conform" - too many people are doing it.
